About Kabova
A passion for Pugs since 2001
Established in 2001, Kabova has been dedicated to breeding exceptional Pugs with a focus on health, soundness, temperament, and quality. We were fortunate to begin our breeding journey with outstanding foundation dogs, and from those beginnings we have built one of Australia’s most successful and respected Pug kennels.
Our foremost aim has always been to breed healthy, happy Pugs that not only excel in the show ring but, more importantly, become cherished members of their families.
Our achievements
Success in Australia and internationally
To date, Kabova has been home to 35 Supreme Champions, more than 100 Champions, numerous Sires and Dams of Merit, as well as International and A20 Champions.
Over the years, Kabova-bred Pugs have achieved remarkable success both in Australia and Internationally, with dogs exported to India, Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore, and the Philippines. One of our Pugs was proudly awarded Number One All Breeds Dog in the Philippines—an incredible achievement for a little Pug.
Recognised across Australia
More than 15 years as Australia’s Number One Pug Breeder
Here in Australia, Kabova has consistently been recognised as the Number One Pug Breeder for more than 15 years, since the national point score system began. Even more rewarding, we were honoured to be named Australia’s Number One All Breeds Breeder for five consecutive years—an achievement that reflects the dedication, consistency, and passion behind our breeding program.
In January 2026 Kabova was inducted into the Australian Breeders Hall of Fame!
Excelling in performance sport
Our dogs don’t just shine in the conformation ring. Kabova Pugs have also excelled in agility and performance sports, with Kabova recognised as the Number One Pug Performance Breeder for the past two years.
A remarkable milestone
Australia’s youngest-ever Supreme Champion Pug
In 2025, we celebrated another significant milestone by breeding Australia’s youngest-ever Supreme Champion Pug. “Ned Kelly” earned his Supreme Champion title at just 12 months of age, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects the quality and consistency of our breeding program.
